Aluminum or Steel, We Do Both!
Why Choose Aluminum?
Aluminum is a great material for use in pedestrian bridges. Aluminum bridges are durable, corrosion resistant and have a strength-to-weight ratio that is greater than steel. The lightweight nature of aluminum allows for smaller foundations which results in an easier installation.
Aluminum is best used if your application fits the following criteria:
• Remote Site Access
• Bridges with Clear Spans Under 110 feet
• Pedestrian Loading Capacities (Not for Vehicles)
• Highly Corrosive Environments (Examples: Near The Coast; An area with Frequent Road Salting)
Is aluminum the correct choice for your project?
Every application is different and one-size doesn’t fit all. There are many variables to consider. Speak to one of our bridge specialists and they will be happy to give a material recommendation that best suites your application.
